After reviewing the latest TV guide on the new season, I can't find much of anything about the up-coming Premeres that I want to watch.  Since Law and Order, it seems as if everything is detective, courtroom and hospital.  Actually, House is not bad but you have to stretch your imagination to accept that he is actually allowed to do the stuff he does.  I'm sure he'd be fired by any hospital but, at least, the show is different.  All the rest of the hospital stuff is just...well too fake and to love affair centered to hold my interest.

Actually, the two shows that will be returning (Medium and Ghost Whisperer) tweaked my interest over the summer reruns and I find them a little entertaining but rather far-fetched, but, like House, they both call for stretching the limits of your imagination.

As far as sitcoms go, nothing has shown up since Seinfield that remotely resembles comedy except Scrubs.  The rest of the sitcoms seem to be written for the teenagers.

As far as news goes, it's Fox for local and CNN for national and the Today shows first hour that hold my interest.  Of course, during the hurricane season, I depend on Fox and the Weather Channel for keeping up with the latest.

What I would like to see is a good Western but, I suppose, with the viewing audience getting younger and me getting older than the hills, I'll just tromp through my woods and shoot woodpeckers.

I'll be happy when February '09 has come and gone.  That banner-stream that seems to be running across my television every ten minutes is driving me bonkers.  Maybe I'm just assuming too much, but I find it highly unlikely that hardly anyone doesn't have cable or a dish yet.  I realize, especially in this economy, that there are some folks who just can't afford this aminity as budgets just won't allow it, but I would bet on the side that most folks find ways to have either aminity in their homes.  The rooftop antenna is disappearing faster than ice cream at a birthday party.
