While it is a shame about Senator Kennedys' Cancer disclosure today I was disgusted with Senator Byrds behaviour upon hearing the sad news.
Senator Byrds' pathetic display of emotion highlights his diminished capacity for keeping command of hisself. While I am sure that his sentiments are genuine the Senate is not the place to sob uncontrollably; it was truly pathetic to witness the powerlessness of a Man with too much power for the good of the People.
