Ok, some of you are asking...what the hell is he talking about? Mental Abuse..from the Government? Like Water Boarding? .....um no...
All we have been hearing from Washington is that We the Citizens need Help from the Government. That we can't do it on our own.....that we are helpless and need the Government to make it...for us to continue...for us to succeed.
Now if any of us had a Partner, Spouse, Boyfriend/Girlfriend...telling us everyday that we can't do it. That we need them to survive..that we are worthless without them....that would be seen as Mental Abuse and rightly so.... They would be enabling our feeling of being a useless victim....that we aren't good enough. It encourages our dependence on an abusive individual.
But somehow when the Government does it...it's ok. When Washington Politicians tell us that they know better...that we can't do it without a Government Bailout..that we NEED them....it is celebrated as wisdom.
But in reality....it's Abuse....
Maybe many Americans need Therapy for Abuse.
So that Americans can feel their self Worth, their Self Confidence. To understand that it is not Us that is nothing without Government....
It is the Government that is Nothing .....without US.

"But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other." - John Stuart Mill
